Ill roll with applebees BECAUSE once upon a time they had 2 dollar margaritas with real liquor in em! I dont even like margaritas but me and some people maximized that deal lol

Was just talking about this 2 days ago with a friend. He was telling me how a Chili's in my area is a fertile hunting ground
All these places have trash food imo, so it's about the other things they offer

Applebee's - after 9pm happy hour makes it lit in black areas. Sometimes have sugary ass drink specials for as low as $1
TGI Fridays - basically a club atmosphere in my area. AI used to be in the one on City Line Ave every night
Denny's - racist reputation but the breakfast + menu are aight
Chili's - has to stand on the quality of food alone

lol i dont think i figured it out until my 5th or 6th restaurant job, but yeah. most kitchens have the same shyt lol. those blue and white Sysco boxes. didn't matter what 'genre' of food it was.. chinese, mexican, italian. everybody uses Sysco... and a lot of that shyt is premade too.

i always wondered about how gross Arbys is. i never worked there (thank god) but i always wondered how they defrost that meat. does it come in a big bag of goo? i feel like they just defrost that shyt in a big ass bain marie or whatever and serve it once its hot

Just realized that I haven’t been to any of those places in years! Remember having to rely on TGI Fridays one time on a work trip because it was literally steps from our hotel. It wasn’t good. Haven’t been to Applebees or chilis since pop in law died in 2017(rip) And fukk Denny’s forever

TGI Fridays in the DMV use to be lit!!! The one in Greenbelt, Md, Woodbridge and Alexandria, VA was fun. Dj, cheap drinks and good food. Jack Daniels chicken sandwich was a 10.

Chilis, it a little above average. Good for something quick or a low budget date with a jumpoff.

Denny's breakfast = Waffle house without the drama. Great for a hungover breakfast/brunch.

Applebees, use to be great 25 years ago. You could take a baddie in there. Just looks sad in there now. They don't try to improve it.

Shame because I used to love Applebees as a kid.
