Word! Raekwon linked up with Ill Bill over a Scram Jones beat, but it was in 2006 far from his prime.Im glad for his resurgence (in peoples minds more so). Ransom linking up with Vinnie Paz and Ill Bill would be a far stretch back in the Clue days.
I know ya'll asked @hex and not me, but I'm a Bill Shakespeare head, and it's something he wrote that's been elevated to mean much more than he intended. When he wrote it, the original wording was "uneasy lies the head" and he was talking about insomnia. That's it. A war/battle was approaching, and the king couldn't get any sleep. And he was complaining because even though he was this powerful king, he couldn't at least get a decent night's sleep. It was a line about stress and insomnia.
But somewhere along the line, someone mistranslated it as "heavy lies the head" and the line has been elevated in modern culture to be this giant metaphor for responsibility and leadership more broadly.
A lot of his famous lines have been elevated in modern times to mean more than they really did when he wrote them.
Man this is accurate.Ransom making some of the best music of his career with standout production that for awhile more lyrical/content based rappers struggled to get, and yet there’s still complaints, even before a project drops![]()
All good brehMy bad @The Dust King @Rozay Oro I wasn't on The Coli at all yesterday. But @TheDarceKnight explained what I meant.
Fred.

I think it’ll be better than the Conway projects too. It’s pretty obvious (and Conway has said as much) that the projects he does with Big Ghost are completed in 1-2 days just as little meals to keep the streets fed, and he doesn’t really put them together like albums. There’s usually less content, less big features, etc. Even the cover art Conway does with Big Ghost is purposely cheap looking.Im always in for Ransom projects and I love the creativity of his drops from Directors Cut with all the movie titles & then Se7en which is fire as well. I’m loving the concept and tracklist on this and will definitely be in even tho I’ve never been a Big Ghost fan and was disappointed with his release with Conway. Somehow I think it’ll work much better with Ransom who clearly had a direction with this release so I think it can flow seamlessly together if that makes sense.

Honestly I haven't read a lot in a while, but I used to act, and I performed Hamlet (I played Hamlet) and Romeo and Juliet (I played Tybalt) both unabridged, and performed around the country for a little bit. It was a means to an end when I wanted to be an actor, but I honestly never read a ton of his stuff just to read it. But I did those plays, and also read Macbeth, Othello, King Lear, Much Ado About Nothing, and a few others when the director was going to have us do them. I almost performed in Macbeth, but I got really burned the fukk out.My nikka said he a Shakespearian lmaooo
How do you read it when that old English is a tough read? You read like a more modern English version of his works?
