Kick Push is like the only real song Lupe got, where he lyrical without being lyrical miracle,

Lupe has and can make a straight forward lyrical song. He's also penned songs for plenty of artists. Your post is full of cap. I get you don't like breh, but I felt inclined to share some songs of his doing exactly what you saying he can't do.

Why make the songs people like you blatantly ignore when he can go down a rabbit hole with the bars and his stans rave about it and continuously support him?

Not at all what it means. Lupe is a great poster child for that. It means you are great at rhyming words to the point that you don’t care about no other part of the song. You doing super complex rhyme schemes and all that shyt but it’s not adding to the song.
Another example was canibus, he could rap all day but couldn’t make a good song to save his life. It’s like you only understand one part of being an artist.

Bur then you have guys like Eminem and Kendrick who are lyrical miracle but can make good songs too. It’s not a bad thing but a lot of them dudes be putting too much infasis on that part and not enough on the rest of the song.
My man said INFASIS

LOL Dudes making passes for who is and isn't "lyrical miracle"..

Ransom is a "lyrical miracle" rapper and so is Lupe, Royce, etc. The difference is Ransom has a mic presence, rhythm, and he understands how to fit words/rhymes in a bar without going out of pocket. Unlike Royce, Lupe, Em and a ton of other rappers like them who get propped up... they do not consistently stay in the pocket every bar and alot of times they'll use gimmick flows like double time to stay on beat.

It aint about what you say it's about how you say it.

And that's the problem I had with his definition, and how he chose to use it in a condescending manner.

He should've said knows how to harness it and make it easily digestible for the majority. THEN we're having an entirely different debate, because it turns into who not about who's wack but who flexes their style the most creatively...while sounding good.

I also think it used to be a combination of what you said AND how you said it, that made you dope. Now it seems to be more heavily weighed on how you sound while saying it...the rhythm, the timing, melodies etc.

I agree on Ransom, but in regards to the other shyt, There is more than one pocket in a track, I swear some of you cats have never laid a bar or played an instrument before

Neck ties and boxing gloves.
Lupe is lyrical miracle? How?

lyrical miracle is those rappers that force multis and big words to make them sound smart but when you breakdown their bars they really don’t be saying shyt. That ain’t Lupe at all. Guys like Atmosphere and Aesop Rock
Funny enough, Lupe considers Aesop Rock better than him lyrically.

Actually listed him first.

To this day, I have yet to listen to an Aesop Rock song.

It's just different skills.

You ever heard a Death Metal drummer? That shyt is insane. I would imagine it's the highest technical skill? But if you haven't heard one it's because that style will never be popular.

I like Canibus. Not for listening to in a club. For just bugging out to and seeing what he does with the syllables. Even when these type rappers get way out there, even if it's not making my head nod, it's still fun to see where they go.

Lupe is similar in that he not gonna make a top 10 smash hit that people gonna be playing everywhere you go. And that's fine. Cause what he does would be impossible for the popular acts.

In every artistic endeavor you have popular and you have critically acclaimed. And those can be totally different sets of artists.
