its time for a new revolutionary music to come....

to anybody that disagrees with this premise, why are you so dogmatic in your appreciation of hip hop/rap that you want to keep the status quo because you don't like change and don't want to see a new type of music

"lets have rap cause I don't like change, and i want to listen to the same music and music forever"

:camby:

its similar to saying we should never advanced cars or make any new revolutionary transportation we should of just stook with ford model t:camby:

dogmatic ass people:camby:

its like people are afraid of change and want to regurgitate the same shyt all the time

Thats what sub genres are for..

Its the same in every other genre.

I for one. Still enjoy hip hop. Maybe it's YOU thats the problem and not hip hop? explore some other music.

Either way, your thread sucks.

Just getting boring?

Hip-hop has been boring to me for...atleast a decade. I just like the music and the artists I like.

There is no culture behind it that anymore that makes it exciting/made it exciting as the 90s and the generation disney heads consuming this music en masse along with corporate America have made it soft as shyt.

I've grown old enough to realize that anytime a new and exciting music comes out, expect the suits to come in, market the hell out of it, and suck any life out of it until it's become a parody of itself and all of the big players have sold out. It happened to damn near every genre of youth popular music since the 50s.

Maybe y'all should invest time into other genres of music and open your minds to the different possibilities out there and then realize how many of these arguments could come down to other forms of music too. Things stagnate eventually.

It was around 2003-2004 for me.
