Everybody wanna sound like chicago that's when tha game got fucced up
My opinion, which is contrary to many people, is that Rap Music is the Big Bracket, and within the Big Bracket of Rap Music, you have (1) Hip Hop which is that hippity hop flow, with BBoys, Graffiti and turntables, then you have (2) Gangsta Rap which has many sub-genres depending on the regionits time for a new revolutionary music to come....
to anybody that disagrees with this premise, why are you so dogmatic in your appreciation of hip hop/rap that you want to keep the status quo because you don't like change and don't want to see a new type of music
"lets have rap cause I don't like change, and i want to listen to the same music and music forever"
its similar to saying we should never advanced cars or make any new revolutionary transportation we should of just stook with ford model t
dogmatic ass people

1996 was the last great year in rap.
HIP-HOP has did everything that it was suppose to do for us in America. We had Chuck, Kane, Ra, KRS, Tupac, NaS, Wu, Ice Cube and etc. they already spoke on many of topics and taught us the game. Like Jay said, you want the old me, go buy my old shyt. The last true culture and essence of Hip-Hop was from the 70's to the early 90's. Anything after that is corporate protocol. The last live year of Rap was in 1996. Anything after 1998 is the reason why rap music is garbage and has been declining since.
Current or modern day rap is a helping hand in destroying the black community. Ever since 2005, I have never seen so many different rappers who rap the same and talk about the same old dead-dumb shyt. Ever. There is no substance. It's either money, cash, cars, clothes, crack and turning up. The same old formula that became overly popular in 1998.
Hip-Hop culture in America has not been fully alive for years. Rap music and it's agenda has been corporate for many of years.
We've already got the game.
Buy MC's and Rappers older shyt. Because rap like in its hey-day is never coming back and current rap is not pushing the black community foreword like its original intentions to do so.
Either escape the turn up and move foreword,
Or become the zombie and embrace the turn up.
The choice is yours.
