I never really cared for some of the more obvious examples, like "Ain't No Fun", or KIM, but the deep, casual misogyny of a lot of albums that got heavy play in my adolescence (The Chronic 2001 is a glaring example) bothers me now, a lot more than it did. I never internalized it, the way many of my friends did, how it shapes their view of the world, or women in particular, but I felt it's influence over the years.

Songs like "All These nikkas and All These Hoes" were really how people were taught to view sex and sexuality.

I never really cared for "Big Pimpin", beyond lusting after Gloria Velez in the video, as a 14 year old, and it just being one of those songs that was everywhere, I never play it now, even in my Vol. 3 moments.

I heard it recently in a Lyft or something, and thought it was pretty tame, more of Jay obsessing about being forever a player than any real viciousness towards women.
