googled it but can't find it.
It's here: opinion

If folks in this thread would've read it before casting their own opinions, they would see that the court used the following rap to convict the accused:
Listen, I said YSK, I ain’t never scared. I always let it spray. And if a n[****] ever play, treat his head like a target. You know he’s dead today, I’m on his a[**] like a Navy Seal. Man, my n[****]s we ain’t never squeal. I’ll pop your top like an orange peel. You know I’m from the streets, F.T.G.,[2] you know the gutter in me and I be always reppin’ my YSK s[***] because I’m a king. I be playing the block b[****], and if you ever play with me, I’ll give you a dream, a couple shots snitch. It’s like a hockey pucks the way I dish out this. It’s a .40 when that b[****] going to hit up s[***]. Four or five, rip up your body quick like a pick up truck, but you ain’t getting picked up. You getting picked up by the ambulance. You going to be dead on the spot. I’ll be on your a[**].

The court said that because the accused called the witness a snitch once in passing and because the person who got murdered was shot with a .40, that this rap was proof that the accused was admitting to the murder.

Mind you, the witness already knew the suspect prior to the shooting and saw the murder. Mind you the murder was the result of the victim trying to use counterfeit money to buy drugs - it wasn't some long standing street beef. The witness nor the court needed this rap as proof. The court DECIDED TO SET A NEW PRECEDENT by admitting this as evidence.

They won't need to use the lyrics. Social media makes it a slam dunk case.
I’m saying though. People are acting like his lyrics is going to be the cause of being convicted. This is just the bow tie to a perfectly wrapped gift. And to call these street nikkas that rap “entertainers” is also a stretch. Dude was obviously just serious criminal that was obsessed with rap culture

Rappers will still write self incriminating lyrics on some dumb shyt despite this.

Most people don't even remember the words to most songs and just mumble along. They could rap about sports or just about how good they are at rapping and still sell the same number of records, but they wanna talk about murder and selling crack.

Edit: But thinking about this deeper, how come their work can't be viewed as fiction? they not gonna arrest some author and pull up rico charges for writing a murder mystery right?
What separates a chapter in a book talking about murder or drugs, versus a line in a song doing the same thing?

I didn't read all that, but unless a rapper is snitching on themselves how are you gonna use rap lyrics in court with all the metaphors, similes, and punchlines rappers use ???

sh1t what if you have a ghostwriter ?
