As entertainment yes. Drill music has driven up violence in every scene it dominated. Violence directly tied to the music. From Chicago, NY, Jacksonville, London. No other genre of music has a directly related body count that even comes close.

At some point accountability has to come into the equation. Rap is trash now outside of a few artists, it's objectively trash because it takes absolutely no talent or dedication to the craft to do it.

There aren't the media gatekeepers of yesteryear. There's no conspiracy. This is just the race to the bottom of rappers having to prove they lived what they said and no one blocking the path anymore to releasing anything of any quality. Even the most garbage rapper 30 years ago had type of quality control on their music. I can record some bullshyt and have it on every streaming service within 24 hours.
