povety etc has led to scenarios where let's say a men who have an income sugar daddy younger women, it's common to see a 15-16 year old school going kid dating an older man..when the girls family find out then they report to the police = rape charges. Some cases the families may know and can't do shyt coz that breh providing for the family...problems start when the underage girl gets pregnant and social services find out who the father is.
In other cases...a 16- 19 year old breh can be with a 14-16 year school going kid..just like above when the family finds out =charged with statutory raped.
Apatheid did a number on south Africans and it's only starting to slightly improve now. Tbf in most poverty stricken areas across the globe even in developed countries..it is common to see over 18s getting/ trying to get with much younger women.
Another thing, again due to poverty and poor universal health, some people resort to cheaper traditional doctors who may give wrong info about treatment options for the sick or poor (sleep with a virgin..pure blood etc to be healed or to be rich) resulting in sexual assault charges/rape...could go on about the many determinants but I guess u get the gist
Preciate the response I think the only thing that collectively be done to stop this problem is fixing the overall quality of life for South Africans when poverty exists things like this are bound to follow.
My moms is in the military and she told me when she was in Cambodia parents were trying to sell their children to the foreigners and there’s a huge market of white men traveling to take advantage of that shyt is a sickening reality of poverty

you are right, the difference in numbers may also be that in western countries most of these cases fall under the pedo blanket whereas in africa its straight rape when you deal with youngings...they dont beat about the bush.
in southern africa the club scene is mega crazy, brehettes drink like brehs and regrets the next morning may lead to further charges. some brehs are unapologetic about how if he spends money on a bytch he has to get the goods no matterb what...everyone knows this so they know who to and not fukk around with...there is always a brehette that thinks is clever than everyone.
i would imagine most cases are from rural areas too..all over the world rural people have chidren at much younger ages than others.
