I didn’t know about manson’s allegations until a couple hours ago. I’m not sure if the people crying in the comments are being pretentious or just lack perspective.

These musicians aren’t in a box where they only listen to the genre their music belongs to. Mason appreciating Saadiq’s ( or vice versa) sound and possible spinning it into a hit or even taking a melody and flipping it is what makes the artistry amazing.
pulling myself out of a box as I got older and hearing how styles are borrowed across all genres was really eye opening as I became a young adult. I completely cut out 99.9% of music because my crowd didn’t think it was cool.
