Not sure what you all expected a black senator in fukking Georgia to say. That math doesn’t work

/ end thread

I'm pro-reparations but it's the reality that you need at least 65-70% public support to get real reparations and there is less than 30% support in the country for it right now. Until you change THAT equation, it's not going to happen no matter how much you make demands and tell people to virtue signal for you, outside of the liberal pockets where support for reparations is a clear majority.

If you actually want reparations, then work to change the public support for it. THAT is where the real battle is. Politicians are going to go where the votes are and the votes are not in reparations.

Democrats are giving the wrong answer. They have to be smarter.

“If you can get a bill to me about lineage based reparations of course I would support it”

“I understand your concerns and share the same, however I have to win this election first before I can even tackle that issue”

How is this a "smart" move when it would immediately be broadcast in every Republican attack ad across the state and completely destroy his chance to win?

Only 30% of the electorate in Georgia is Black. Even if EVERY Black person voted for a pro-reparations candidate, even if the majority of Latinos voted for that canidate too, you still need to get about 25% of the White electorate in order to win. And you ain't gonna get that running on reparations in 2022.

THERE IS A 3RD candidate you fukking a$$hole... you don't have to vote JUST for the republican!!! :what: now take that to the bank! :camby:

:mjlol:

If any meaningful % of Black folk vote for the "third candidate", she still doesn't win. Herschel Walker wins. And the OP who openly said during 2016-2020 that he was a Trump supporter full well knows that and is banking on it.

Hmmmm. Speaking as a pro- reparations, independent, smart dumb mutherfukker, seems like the democrats are in a peculiar position

Can’t win without our vote, can’t win with it

No, they CAN win without your vote. That's your miscalculation. Warnock can't win, but if he loses they won't run someone more pro-Black, they're run some moderate white guy next time instead and aim for the middle. If they determine that trying to virtue signal for your ass is going to cost them more votes than it wins (and that's the truth in Georgia), then all they're going to do is move to the right and try to win by appealing to White moderates instead. Then your choices will be between the far-right and the moderate-right.

This is why some semblance of education and awareness of history/politics matters. Absolutely no one has ever won an election issue the way you're trying to win it. Plenty of people have seen Democrats in tough districts simply tack right to win instead.

I'm pro-reparations but you have to be strategic. You don't win gains if you move dumb.

No he doesn't. Yall need to stop with this all or nothing mentality. He can explain to Black folks how he supports Reparations and what he will do to get the ball moving while telling the rest of the state how is going to help them as well.
The swing voters (Independent and Republican) in Georgia that are voting for Warnock are white people. The same white people that aren't voting for Abrams because they view her as too progressive.

1. I did not flee my country
2. People immigrate to other countries all the time. That may be foreign to you since you don’t travel I can tell. You probably don’t even own a passport.
3. My ancestors built the first free Black Republic in the world and they were the mirror country that gave other slaves hope. My ancestors also fought in wars in your own country.
4. Your ancestors are slaves just like mine are slaves from the country yours came from.
5. Unlike you I can come to a foreign land and excel. What’s your excuse for not doing the same ? Let’s choose your daddy Tariq words. Democrats made sure you stay docile in the plantation huh ?

The better question should be when you and I going back to the motherland we were supposed to live in had it not been slavery.

Anything else is Tariq throat baby hidden museum/event place storefront LA real estate babble.

Clown ass negga, go brush your teeth or go donate some more money to King Flex so he can find his next event at the Hidden Museum

Unlike you I can excel on my own land and did not have to flee lol

Black people don't have a majority in any state. Not even close. :dahell:

shyt like this is why agents with terrible takes prosper. :snoop:
You’re right they don’t have a majority. Let me correct that. They refuse to use their large numbers in an organized political way.

I think they both need major reforms and complete transparency and oversight, yes.
So, that’s a yes that you were for the messaging?

You have some nerve coming on here, as a non black american, chastising folks for asking for reparations, insinuating that it’s not feasible or a waste of time; talking about “go ask republicans”, when the same thing you want is repulsive to Repubs as well.

You should just come out and say you’re not for reparations, instead of trying to hide behind the black Americans that have some questions and/or don’t think it’s possible.

Myself and my own.
My reaction every time democrats speak on these issues:
full

Like seriously, get your talking points down, because they know the question is coming and still muck it up.

You can't have it both ways:

  1. Society is racist and won't give us shyt
  2. Opportunity is sketchy because society is racist therefore we shouldn't take opportunities
Well it seems you're kinda stuck there, huh?
Did I say you shouldn’t take opportunities or did I say opportunities are gatekept and racism exists? You seem to be stuck on reading comprehension.
