Technically they are off THE GROUND. They are still on/in Earth and it is rotating correct...

Well by such logic wouldnt that mean this:

If their was a bug flying in your backyard and he didnt move.. just stayed suspended in air for an entire day...

Your technically stating ( and yes you are because your saying the plane would have to ADD OR SUBTRACT time based on direction fighting the rotation) that that earth would rotate around the bug... bug would be in china technically after 13 hrs... obviously we know this doesnt happen cuz he still floating above are yard and didnt have to move righy or left at all... hes still in your yard. If you cant use a bug use an air balloon that is just floating in place with no wind.

Flying from new york to california is not fighting against the rotation of the earth. Its always 3000 miles away. If we moving 1000 miles rotation california. New york. Us. Are all moving at the same 1000 miles in same direction negating anything. The fact we are rotating doesnt even mean anything because we are rotating in the vacuume of space. ON EARTH.. rotation means NOTHING to air travel because EVERYTHING IS ROTATING AT THE SAME TIME.

We dont notice the rotation... just like that bug we rotate in place... gravity holds us to our point on earth or wed fly away hence the need to mov left and right. The rotation literally means NOTHING because you didnt leave earth.. you left the ground. Earth rules still apply. That 1000 miles an hour the earth is rotating is rotationg the starting point AND destination while were moving towards it as well. Technically we are all moving 1000 miles an hour rn. The atmosphere. The ground. Us. Everything. The plane is moving 1000 miles too along with the land its flying over. It has zero bearing on the voyage. But we rotating in space which isnt the same thing as taking a carosuel ride on earth. The sky is not seperate from the earth. It all rotates together or else we could float in the air wait 3 hrs and be in california and we wouodnt need planes just balloons.

This is my simplistic explanation for your idea which i tried to give some credeance too based on ya passiom but.. na bruh im sorry. Flat earth is a whole nother topic but your rotatingbplane theory only works if the ground was seperate of the atmosphere but thats not true or else storms would be stuck in place and would hit the entire circumfrence of the earth in a single 24 hr period.

First, there are 365 days in a year simpleton, so the math would ACTUALLY be 182.5 x 4 / 60, which does not add up to exactly 12 hours

Not only that simpleton, like you just said, if the earth completes a rotation 4 minutes short of the 24 hour mark every day, that would mean that "TRUE NOON" IS SEEN AT 23 HOURS 56 MINUTES, NOT 24 HOURS. By your goofy logic, every year there should be an ~24 hour day that would need to be accounted for and added to the calendar since 4 minutes a day are added to the earth's rotation to make it an even 24 hours

4 x 365 / 60 = 24.33333...

Not only that simpleton, by your logic one should be able to observe the sun setting 4 minutes earlier every single day throughout the year, meaning there should be an ~2 hour difference in where the sun set at the beginning of a month compared to the end of said month
