:francis: I hate so much that this dude never got the help he needed, and got shytted on throughout his career. Yes it was all self, but its unfortunate that the industry didn't red flag the situation, the moment he wanted to have "J Dilla" produce his album despite Dilla being.....dead :why:

Nevermind half of his discography being stalker vibes for Rihanna. The sonic shyt is fine and all as I claimed to be a black man, eventually I'm a koala IRL.

It shouldn't have gotten to this point and should had ended during New York Minute.

I hope dude pulls through because, he has always been a influence in my life on a music perspective.

shyt even Larry June does that, he is an entrepreneur with a smoothie business out in LA. Rap is just a hobby for him.

shyt I got mine but bought it years ago.

Might be his best album imo or one of them.

For me its:

  • The Pink Lavalamp
  • Well Isn't this Awkward
  • This Perfect Life
  • Sonic the Hamilton
  • My Brain is Alive
That 08-09 stretch was pure peaked Hamilton. His later stuff ranged from good, okay, to dog shyt. The man was rapping through a cup and string, that's how terrible the quality was.

Look at the lack of empathy in this thread. Capitalism really does breed emotional-less robots.

To be fair though:

If something is seriously wrong with him (medically etc) them saying “he’s got projects on the way, let’s build his studio” is weird.

If he needs help, stop the music dream and get him help if he is incapable of working a regular job like everyone else

If he is capable of working a regular job, he should be doing that.

And it’s no reason that CH couldn’t have pivoted at some point and got into IT. He was one of the first people and only young black dudes I knew into all that stuff back then in 08-09.

This.

GoFundMe is a short term solution for what sounds like a serious problem. I hope they have a long-term plan to break the cycle and get him healthy and self-sufficient. Talking about building studios when u got food problems doesn't sound right.

PLUS - success at music is a 1 in a million shot. I don't understand why people pursue it so relentlessly.

Remember that Mexican rapper that was a Sonic fan he ended up scamming him too :mjlol:
Dude is super talented. A shame he never got where he needed.

Jimmy Iovine believed in him too.
