Charles was the face but still to this day I have never heard the real reason he couldn’t stay on track. Besides drugs (and I wasn’t even around him enough to see him use), it was something else.
Agree. Also, for people with mental health or addiction issues, the consistent schedule of working and building that routine is super helpful. Trying to exist off of only being a creative when you have those kinds of problems and no resources only makes things worse.

I think it was his mental illness, dudes was schizophrenic and unmedicated for many years. Interscope was going to release his album but he didn't want to put Brooklyn Girls on the album so they took their foot of the gas. He didn't seem to understand that in the business you have to make adjustments. It's not just being creative and putting shyt out, the samples he used have to get cleared and if they can't he would need another beat or to make some beats without samples. Brooklyn girls was his biggest song at the time so it should be on the album even if it didn't fit the original vision. He just didn't get it.My nikka Sha
