It's crazy because the only time Mexicans bow up (in Texas) is when they have a huge numerical advantage.
Like at school if it's 50/50 or we have an advantage, it's all kumbaya. If they got big numbers....THEN they talk greasy (sometimes).
But the deep south ain't got enough Mexicans for it to matter.
Blacks are like 11 or 12% of Texas. Mexicans are like 3.5x that at least. When GA/LA/MS/AL is 40 or 45% Messican....then it'll be a conversation.
Mexicans had to migrate to Atlanta, NOLA and Jackson. Them fools were already in CA/TX when we got there. The illegals just boosted the numbers. Mexicans are the rednecks of Latinos, good and bad.

There really needs to be some awareness that happens for us as a people. A Mexican talks about how he will use the NWord when ever he wants. The first inclination of too many of you is to turn your ire towards our own people. We have a problem with misplacing our anger in the Black Community. We are quick to focus it inward, instead of out towards the ones who are actually commiting the offense. So the person who should be receiving all of the smoke is the Mexican using the Nword.
As for the Nword, the best way to stop it from being used by others is to stop using it ourselves. It does not matter how you want to spell it, it almost invariably is used negatively towards another Black man. For some reason, so many of you hold on desparately to using that insult, because yes it is used as mainly an insult, towards each other. Then you want to waste energy trying to stop everyone else from using a word, that we so freely use on ourselves. The simple truth is the world does not work that way.
For example:
If you call yourself an idiot enough times, the rest of the world will start calling you one too. Then you set there and waste your time trying to police their use of the word that you are using on yourself. A pure waste of effort and time.

Also in NYC it’s tricky cause a lot of Ricans and Dominicans are black and look like black people but because those are nationalities it’s a slippery slope

My stance has always been, if the Black people around a non black are comfortable with being called a nikka,that's on them to figure out. Where I'm from and how I carry myself you will not call me nikka, disrespect my bloodline or use semantics to try to soft imply you can call me nikka,you just choose not to. We will throw hands if my sentiment isn't received properly. That word never served us and the "we're taking it back from it's origin and use it as a term to identify and embrace each other" is like being abused by someone and then turn around to abuse yourself in the same way and say it's empowering. That word shouldn't be in the daily vocabulary of anyone black that respects his bloodline.
