Brilliant thread :salute: OP. Agree with most above that Jeezy had had authentic growth in his career as opposed to wave riding.

I used to fukk with Jeezy heavy but after TM103 he kind of lost me, I copped the album after that but barely played it.

These "phases" are nothing but outfit changes

ATL…overly
The growth has definitely been evident and Jeezy has been willing to experiment a bit with his sound, but i listen to his music now and I think "Retro Jeezy". I think about Magic City Monday and his latest record with Bankroll Fresh and they sound like TM103 leftovers. I'm not sure if he knows what direction musically to take next b/c all his new shyt sounds like his old albums

Good thread tho :salute:

Nice thread idea, OP :salute:

Breh that nikka sounded exactly like Trick:ohhh:

that's what wack rappers do. They come into the game sounding just like someone else. And through image/luck, they catch on. you see this ALL the time.

Jeezy is one of the worst rappers ever. The hype around Thug Motivation 101 told me that hip hop was a joke, and that any trash would be supported as long as the cosigns/marketing was right. Dude was huge with the casuals/non hip hop fans, who subsequently don't bump Jeezy anymore or hip hop in general.

Come Shop Wit Me was right before Trap Or Die but already ties in to what was already said. This ain't a dissertation

Regardless of what they say about Cube, I agree Jeezys growth was gradual and authentic.

You didn't live life if you never had a bullets jersey growing up

:mjlol:

You have the worst opinion and are flat out wrong about everything.

It's hilarious to see someone so confident about being an idiot.

Tm 101 came out in 05 you probably hadn't even started listening to hip hop yet :mjlol:
