People seem to think they live in a fantasy world where 35+ year old rappers are supposed to look the same way they did in their 20s and never age and if they do look different then theyre automatically or that rappers are supposed to rap about the same thing they did a decade ago when they were in different times in life and if they dont then theyre automatically washed up

20 years ago, the average 30-40 year old was a family man that put his wild party days behind them. Now, dudes that same age group talking about going to the club and "turn up" or "pop mollys" all the damn time. We really don't embrace maturity in this country anymore and its gonna be a real ratchet country in another 20 years.

Only in Hip Hop, is a man over 35 shytted on for being a family man.

Rock groups like KISS are in their 60's and still tour. Rap began in the early '70's so the genre is still new. In 25 years rap will be something else but Nas and Jay-Z will still be around.
