that's what im saying.

a lot of random names and average albums being mentioned in here.

nah. cam killed that album. then you had dudes like hell rell & un kasa going off.

juelz & jim weren't lyrical miracles but their deliveries, voices, mic presence and basically everything else was

its not possible for an album to be considered classic just because of the beats. that's ridic.

the fix was indeed east-coastish.

the preemo style of beats havnt been the definitive east coast sound since like '96.

you could've easily gave the beats on "the fix" to beans, styles, etc.

We've been down this road before with DI. I don't consider it a classic anyway.

Cam was far and away the best on the album, but he wasn't putting up his a-game on the album.

Hell Rell and everyone else played a minor role on that album. It was mainly Cam, Jimmy and Juelz.

What makes the Fix East Coastish? The Kanye and Neptunes beats? Those tracks could have gone to Beans, Styles but they also could have gone to Luda or Game (if he had been out back then) or Trina or Snoop.

I'm gonna attempt to speak for dude exchange "East Coastish" for "Mainstream". That was Face's DefJam album. It was marketed like it was gonna be a classic before it even came out.

Because that's all Face had to do to make a classic album. That's what held him back for all these years, east coast guests and "hot" producers.

The East Coast sound was more or less dead around 2002. The Fix was more Face trying to cater to what was mainstream at the time. It wasn't like he got an album full of Primo beats.

I agree. That's what I had originally said. It was definitely a departure from his classic sound and an attempt to sell some records by Def Jam (see the WC feature who was on Def Jam at the time I believe). Of course, Face being Face, it's still a classic!
