Rappers who* never took off

Any backpack rapper who missed the peak of the backpack wave

:what: to that video. I think I get it -- he's supposed to be Token from South Park (:snoop: at the :mjpls:), but it's still kinda fukked up that the ONLY nikka in that video -- and that video has a lot of people -- is him. Which makes for all kinds of unfortunate implications with that video, but oh well. As for the title, it's the reason why I clicked on it, because I thought it was a white dude who did that corny ass '(I'm) Awesome' song, so I was trying to figure out why there's a brother in the thumbnail.

and I'd be right. Who had the song first? I guess it doesn't matter. AV is getting that 'associated with a hot video game' royalty money now, so :manny:

Dude named his only hit after his name.
Like he knew he was gunna be a one hit wonder :mjlol:

I hated that song. I know that slang changes every generation and half generation, but hearing somebody trying to associate death with a come up felt wrong. I guess it's no worse or different than the classic 'bad' is 'good', but still it was weird hearing it on the radio.

Nah, he was far from a shytty rapper.

He got hit with a double homicide with eye witnesses, that's why he never took off.

and :pacspit: Roscoe. Seriously. fukk him. That ain't getting caught with weed or having an unregistered handgun or taking the rap for some other worthless nikka who needs to take responsibility for his own actions for once, but whatever. That's not self-defense. He really went up on those two teenagers (I guess nikkas always skip the teenager stage in the media and go straight to 'manhood', but)? and shot them point blank?

What were the circumstances? Because it doesn't matter how witty and talented you are, if you're out there murdering people you don't deserve shyt. When you get a chance to get out of that situation, you're supposed to take it and not look back.

I can't even front, I thought this dude was gonna change the game after this dropped

little did I know he would never drop anything as dope as that ever again

how you gonna have Preemo, Hi-Tec, Alchemist, Pete Rock, Havoc, Easy Mo Bee and Large Professor and still drop a mediocre album? :why:

Exactly. When I heard "Watch How It go Down" I was :ahh:

Next song I hear he was already rappity rappin' just to make it happen :ld:
