Wiz Khalifa is one, still doing the same type of music but worse and still putting out hits, getting a solid position on festival posters and selling out shows.

Jeezy is another one, he did like 100k first week last time. I never thought he would survive 12 years.

Don't ever apply for an entertainment industry job or any investment job at all. That was one of the easiest calls of the century.

Super skilled, showed mad different styles, creative, versatile, loves music, good hitmaker and super motivated. That was all seen in his first first 18 months.

Future...

I first heard him on that tony montana track and really fukked with the song but thought he was garbage lyrically so I couldnt see him being around for long... If im honest i thought hed be a one hit wonder, plus drake was pissed off at future for dissin him cuz he didnt do the video for tony montana

Like 5 years later this nikka is a top dog in the industry and has shown he has a mean pen game for hooks and a nasty flow
First person who came to mind. I thought he would have been nothing more then a mixtape rapper. But in the last several years dude has gotten features from damn near everybody, including pop acts like Bieber and Ariane Grande.

Dude got a legit core fan base and has a few number 1 albums under his belt. And for the most part from what I've seen he is humble about it. Can't do nothing but :salute: him.

Great call with Wiz and Jeezy. I thought Jody Breeze would be the one to make it out of that initial video. And how in the world is Wiz still around.

That Wiz Khalifa song from the fast and furious soundtrack has 1.7 billion views on youtube :damn:

This is difficult to say now.. some people just riding off the fact you dont need a major or even retail albums... a lot of these rappers would have vanished in the old model of doing things

Drake is a name.. for him to make hits and even survive that battle and needing ghostwriters is just fuhkin amazing..

Wayne survived tonguing men, Rick Ross survived being exposed as a cop, and Gunplay has lost multiple hand to hand battles, so it shouldn't be that surprising. For people growing up in the current rap climate, being able to nod your head to a beat is the only thing that matters.
