Bigger and Deffer is a classic album.

classic as in pioneering release? classic as in memorable release? or GOAT contender?

for me, classic = goat contender. Are you saying Bigger and Deffer is one of the greatest hip hop albums ever? and if so, where would you rank it? top 10? 20? etc

Unless you where a teenager back then, I really dont certain age groups critiquing seriously.

a teen back in the mid 80s? That shyt's irrelevant.

Illmatic is a classic now. in 2016. Regardless of what age you were in 1994.

The people who voted in the poll aren't the usual space cadet on The Coli. A number of serious hip hop fans voted in that poll. Some gave good reasoning for why they felt what they felt. Look it up.

Believe it or not, Mobb Deep. I'm old enough to remember Peer Pressure and all their other tracks way before Infamous. I was living in NYC at the time and thought they were just another hardcore local group since there were so many at the time. I didn't think they would outlast some of those other groups, but Infamous came out and we know the rest...
Not to mention they got dissed by Pac and just completely shook it off.
Then Jay got them on Takeover and they dropped that awful album...seemed like they were done...nope
Popped up with the Free Agents Mixtape and then they had that album with the single with Alchemist.
Then they dropped that atrocious G-Unit album and they were a laughingstock for a year...
then they bounced back with P on ROTM.
Survived twitter beefs...
Last few years they both dropped fantastic solos with Alchemist and the last Mobb album was great :wow:

Yet how can one dispute what a classic is, when they had no concept of rap and hip hop culture even was.

You consider illmatic a classic, why?

But BAD inst based on the same criteria...youd be wrong.

I don't know what this sentence means.

Name an LL Cool J album you think is undeniably classic and tell me why it's undeniable. In 2016.

I'm not going to talk about Illmatic just yet because our convo is about LL Cool J.

You beat me to it. The fact that he was a mediocre goon rapper in fukkin 1993, and is on a hit single waaay in 2016 is nothing short of amazing. Dude has had hits in just about every era. for the last couple of decades
It makes me sick really :scust:

The fat nikka can't rap.....stop the madness :damn:
