I like seeing MF DOOM, not DOOM.

I saw it as MF DOOM for the first like 7 years. Ppl started saying Doom and I feel it cheapens the name.

Unless he made it official like that? Did he?
He started doing it on Born Like This, but even Mm.. Food emphasizes the DOOM half more than the MF. Didn't think much of it, cause he already referred to himself as just DOOM in plenty of songs before then.

I don't remember anyone ever calling Biggie "The Notorious B.I.G."
People called him Big, Biggie or Biggie Smalls

calling nas ‘nasty/esco’ was always funny but some nikkas on here really see dude as a father figure so I don’t judge :manny:

Some of the Nas hype may be comical from the outside looking in, but when Nas dropped he was a godly figure to NYC hip-hop fans. Grown rappers with deals admit to changing their entire style after hearing him. Imagine the impact he had on little kids who taped rap songs off the radio & wrote rhymes for fun. :flabbynsick:

I might not call Nas "Esco" but in my mind "Nasty Nas" & "Nas Escobar" are different artists.

Ah point taken thank you. I like when he referred to himself as the villian.

Yeah true. I see it as like somebody’s government name is like Jonathan and he’s called John for short cause it’s easier I guess.

Reminds me of when I was a kid (this had to be like 95/96) and my grandma was watching that movie “Let’s Do It Again” on TV. I wasn’t paying attention but I heard the characters kept referring to somebody named “Biggie Smalls”. I turned around like :ohhh: “Biggie the rapper in this movie?”
Even though I knew it was from the 70s. But then I saw it was obviously not him in the movie lol.

Hov. I’m Muslim so no chance I’m calling any man anything related to God/ Allah (SWT)
Why didn’t you mention the god mc, Rakim Allah, God’s Son or anyone who refers to god or something rejected in Islam not one of the 7 latinizations of god’s biblical name? :leostare:

Here are the names you should stop calling people, if you are a Muslim - and not a Christian - and what you said is true.

the reason I said Hov is because I see more people call Jay Z: Hov than Jay Z or Jay. So it’s one of those common names for someone I don’t use

Calling Nas God’s Son or Rakim, Rakim Allah isn’t something people really do as regularly as people call Jay: Hov. They’ll call Nas Esco for example. So that’s reason I mentioned the name Hov

but you’re right. I wouldn’t call Nas God’s Son and I wouldn’t call Rakim the God MC or Rakim Allah

and not sure why you’re giving Wiki links to the 99 names of Allah. If someone called Malik or Hakim then it’s Abdul Malik or Abdul Hakim

Check the list of names, you’ve got to skip since you skip the Jewish peoples name :wow:

The odd thing was just that you said that you were a Muslim and instead of discussing, things that go strictly against Islamic rules like gods son or Islamic names for god you react to a remix of the Jewish peoples name :yeshrug:. You’ve also got to censor yourself if you drop wu-bars, shyts getting hard now lol
