i refuse to conform
I agree with bizzy n to some extent pac n big

Pac had many songs where he went off beat sometimes for the sake of ranting. Especially durin the death row period... Might be cuz he was knockin out 10 songs per studio session. But no doubt he could ride a beat whenever he felt bothered, hes the goat.

Big had an orthodox flow n i think his voice n delivery helped him stick out more than the beat... But hes less consistant than pac when it comes to ridin the beat smoothly

I dont think rakim n big daddy kane r good examples... Not tryin to discredit them or anything cuz both r legends... But their focus on lyrics kinda drove em apart from focusin on ridin the beat

I havn listen to z-ro n if i have i dont remember him

to me pac never had a bad flow imo he could rhyme at various bpms used different vocal inflections syllable count was on point in his lines
and he would rhyme on beat as in hitting the right snare and shyt

biggie flow was all over the place

and rakim shyt was on point too and kane also method man shyt was fire also same with raekwon

rakim

juvenile : second gen, juvie the great with technical skills. that first appeared on the hook of vol iii tracklisting with jayz.
method man
second gen biggie : first gen big was offkey....second gen big, was one of the best ramp up in vocal delivery all time.
krs : the pioneer of the melody based and clarity enriched slow flow. from a technical and delivery based standard.
first gen k solo :
pmd : one of the best slow flows of all time, from vocal delivery and technical standard in rhyme.

mos def

mister funkee
lill fame : second gen technically savy fame
juju : third gen juju, after he found his way on the sonic landscape change from boom bap.

snoop : first gen, chronic/deathrow in the orange suit leftover/doggystyle snoop and doggy allstars possibly ghostwritten snoop.
that lead to drop it like its hot, i am gonna freestyle more like back in the day before a deal, snoop.

project pat
juicy j : current gen juicy j,...he pretty much is writing any cadence that is not pat.
that is copied in all of rap.
not just southern music and the lifts of their dj uneek inspired but ramped to another level production style.
i mean all of rap, bites juicy j.

yelawolf : what if boosie could rap.
webbie : one of the southern all time cadence masters

big mike : has every flow, and does it at a clip that is one of the consensus all time best over everyone during the convicts era to his geto boyz memebership.

tech nine : nuff said
mystikal : originally his clarity was not really great he was making captain caveman soundeffects style rap. yet and still, he got and always had flows.

aceyalone : has every flow, that is melody based and probably one of the direct pioneers of melody based flows.

jaz-o : the bx battle legend who sold out on the will smith level.
who made the technical rubrick for jay and sauce to get where they got.

raekwon :

g rap

pun

wise intelligent : shakeelah, era...before, he ruined his legacy going on talk shows.

lord finesse : awakening era finesse....nobody was pocketing flows that clean in 96, with that level of maturity and growth bar to bar.

pharcyde : every member had so many flows. slim kid tre thought he could give us drake before drake with brian austin green.
to the point, it ruined their draw and cultural place in history, and rightfully so.
only difference between drake and brian austin green, is.
the tough guy intimidating media perception of the gangsta rap label ymcmb making up for his shortcomings, and culturally giving him a pass and as an actual artist. when duke is terrance howard, with an offkey nonconvincability based flow continuing his role as djay on hustle and flow.

nas : first gen, non-biter nas
az : first gen az, before he lost his way and started to make boardy-stiff wannabe off on purpose jayz based cadence records.
in that little era before he technical rubrick was defined for that era's jiggy/club based slower bpm based soniclandscape.

I'll give u drake cuz he actually can rhyme onbeat effortlessly n hes fukkin good at it

But hov?

:camby:

drake does not have a flow,..he is offkey, but has good grasp of skillmorphing emo underground technical skills at his base.
from various writers of different types, showing him the way, first.
he is allowed to draw and have some respect, fraudulently.
on a he is making emo/gangsta rap records for the hhi.com types to feel accepted.
he is the rapper, that former toy emo hiphopinfininty.com types who were ostracized have championed, erroneously.
