Banroll- seen this nikka when I use to go to the Street Execs studios and he was always happy and making jokes. He knew he was next and he was excited. At the Street Exec block party I gave em my mixtape we dap and spoke and he said it was hard and retweeted it. The night he died me and my homeboy just got off stage performing and somebody in the crowd walked up to us and told us the news. My heart dropped I knew we lost a legend in the making
Nipsey- was on Nip back in 08 and instantly became a fan. In 2013 1st time in LA the 1st stop i made was to his shop . It was only a t shirt store then. I had a box of cds and wanted to give him some . Sam told me he was on tour but let me leave a hand full of cds at the counter by the checkout register him and his dad were cool. Years following i would meet Nip more times than I could count always at his store or the parking lot. One of my biggest regrets was the last time I saw him and Sam and not getting a Pic. I waited around to talk to him but he told me to hold on him and Sam were discussing business. I tried to interrupt after a few mins and Sam repeated what Nip told me so instead of waiting I grabbed my Master Burger and dipped.

- nipsey, dude finally was getting the mainstream recognition he deserved + loved how he went about building
- pac, he had a lot more to give to the world of entertainment and needed the chance to mature and not be in an environment that helped him double down on his infatuation with the streets
- migos, 2012-2018/19 these dudes were dope. i loved seeing a group in hip hop with a unique style and great chemistry. even before takeoff's death, i wish they would've realized they were better as a group vs all them solo careers they were trying to get off. i miss peak migos music
- Various "New West" acts - Pac Div, Dom Kennedy, Casey Veggies, Schoolboy, Ab Soul, Jay Rock, HBK Gang (Iamsu, Sage, Kool John, LoveRance, P-lo) 09-16 I was flooded with Cali rappers to listen to. They either fell off, stopped making music, etc and even those still making good songs every now and then, the atmosphere aint the same. Their decline coincides with the super steep decline in black culture in Cali
