I'm surprised they fired him to be honest. Looks like the last two years have been about penny pinching and I was under the impression that they didn't want to pay him on the way out.

But for Masai this is the easiest to blame someone else when he built a shytty roster and mismanaged his assets every trade deadline

I don't think the roster is bad. There's just no one that stands out. Kinda built like the Hawks team that won 60 games that one season. Everyone is really good. No one was great.

Also, Barnes showing almost no improvement didn't help them.

Nah breh, it's bad. The bench is likely one of the worst in the league along with the Blazers bench. They didn't have a backup PG all year. No one on the bench could shoot until they moved Gary Trent Jr to the bench. I don't think there's a single guy on the bench besides Gary who has touch or could even dribble the ball.

You're right about Barnes. He was the same guy, and he was extremely passive until the 4th quarter every game. Whoever's the next coach has to get Scottie to be more aggressive about his touches.
