Only uneducated white boys and stupid blacks get caught up in "real" "fake" debates. The bottom line, is the image he created consumed him. He also fell victim to his insecurities.

Name a rapper who doesn't do this; the number of rapper's who were actually real gangsters, or hustler's you could probably count on one hand. The fact is if most of these rappers didn't end up with with a successful career most of them would have just ended up in doing regular jobs.

Then on top of that, when Biggie wrote raps about how hard it was growing up (ex. we used to fuss when the landlord dissed us), it's almost a diss to his mother. Of course she's gonna play it down like he was over-exaggerating. Nobody is going to admit that they couldn't keep food on the table or that their kid wore clothes from Goodwill. It's embarrassing
