Game of the year
Very worth it imho. even if this is the only game you buy. It won't, but this game looks to be epic in every way. Lots of classics here.Might have to cop a Larry just for this![]()

Does anyone know how these will look graphically?
3 characters - a boy, girl, and their dog - that you can switch out to get to areas on each level that the others can't (eg. the dog can hover, dude can walk on lava etc). its mainly a third person shooter, with the collecting/platforming/puzzle solving shyt that Rare was known for. They have not done much graphically, some games got more attention then others, but don't except anything spectacular.
I've never played JFG. I was most looking forward to stuff like RC Pro am, and battle toads. And of course conker and banjo.
Was JFG really piff like that? What kinda game is it?
yeah I'll mess with some of the other games first if the patch ain't available day 1.Reviews are coming out for Rare Replay...and Rare didn't pull a MCC! That's good. The only issues for now is that Blast Corps and Conker's BFD has some pretty bad performance issues (Blast Corps the most.).
Jet Force Gemini is getting a 'modern' control patch sometime after launch for people who prefer games like Gears of War.
So I just copped this and I'm actually shocked at how horrendous the controls are in these games, specifically in Jet Force Gemini. The game is near unplayable. I expected the graphics and gameplay overall to look and feel dated, but why on earth did they not bother remapping the controls for it to make sense on the new layout!? Seriously. 1 minute into the game and I cut it off. No way I'm forcing myself to slug through controls that horrible. Battletoads plays well and so do the perfect dark games. I played a few others and the controls were equally as terrible. Not a good look at all rare. No sir.
Yet another game released in an unplayable form with promises to be fixed in the futureI haven't even touched JFG. seen how they had it mapped and went with Conker first. I need the option to change the x-axis controls though so I can't play that either. don't know why they didn't have control options added out the gate but I'll put this on pause til they do. still got some other half finished games to complete anyways

the 3D games are definitely playable, I just ain't tryna relearn moving the camera when I've had years of using opposite controls. JFG always had odd controls that a simple inverting of x and y can't fix so I'll wait on the patch if it exists. prolly just use my cronusmax to invert the controls for everything elseYet another game released in an unplayable form with promises to be fixed in the future
I can do a full review with all the games listed but jfg wasn't the only game with disgusting controls. I'm not throwing the whole collection in the bushes....yet. I mentioned that both perfect dark games work just fine. My complaint still stands. We aren't using n64 controls with one stick and c buttons. Flicking the right stick up to jump and the flicking it down to duck is terrible. Add to that camera control is almost completely absent. It's something they need to update. Battletoads controlled fine as well. I didn't say the entire collection was unplayable. I'm saying this collection has some glaring flaws that should have been address before release so that they could be properly enjoyed in 2015 on modern controllers, similar to how the re-release of resident evil 1 saw a complete remapping of the controls. What do you mean "unplayable"?
Its just as it was on n64
And its only 1 out of 30 games included.
So you saying 1/30th of the game is "unplayable"?
Anyway played some battletoads with my kids today, they loved it is much as i did when I was a kid.
Can't wait to get into some more of the games this weekend.
