Rare Replay OT [XB1] JetForce Gemini, BattleToads, Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct Gold, and more

I can do a full review with all the games listed but jfg wasn't the only game with disgusting controls. I'm not throwing the whole collection in the bushes....yet. I mentioned that both perfect dark games work just fine. My complaint still stands. We aren't using n64 controls with one stick and c buttons. Flicking the right stick up to jump and the flicking it down to duck is terrible. Add to that camera control is almost completely absent. It's something they need to update. Battletoads controlled fine as well. I didn't say the entire collection was unplayable. I'm saying this collection has some glaring flaws that should have been address before release so that they could be properly enjoyed in 2015 on modern controllers, similar to how the re-release of resident evil 1 saw a complete remapping of the controls.

You have to keep in mind that Banjo-Kazooie, Tooie and Perfect Dark were done by 4J Studios instead of it being done in-house by Rare. There's obviously an issue with re-doing controls for old games like this that even emulators on PC can't fix. The N64 is such an obtuse designed controller that you have to completely jump through hops in design to even get a playable controller layout.

Live and Reloaded had better controls than Conker but a LOT of people would've been pissed if they went for LoR instead of BFD mostly because of the censorship.

I at least appreciate Rare working to fix JFG's controls instead of throwing it to the bushes.

Actually, I still like cases. That said, I'm not adverse to physical copies. If not for anything else, I need to buy a larger HDD. I bought Dragon Age on XB1 digital, I got a deal on it. Steam has me being a convert on not being against digital stuff though.

Rare sequals and Halo is pretty much the only reason to buy a X-Box 1. X-Box 1 is pretty much just a Nintendo 64 of today's era. Now if they come out with a Golden Eye sequel, them I might buy an X Box 1, but until then.......

Rare doesn't own the Goldeneye IP, MGM does. Not to mention Nintendo blue-balled the shyt out of Microsoft's Goldeneye 360 remaster which is the reason why that flabby ass Goldeneye Wii game exists.
