Ras one of my faves to do it.. Soul On Ice 2 was a GEM, heads should listen to that if they have not. As said above Soul On Ice was like a West Coast Illmatic (The beats were not as good I know but they fit), just wish it had the Soul On Ice Remix added on at the end.

He also killed his feature on CRU's album

Ras was something different funny hood hyper intellectual on his player shyt first song I heard was golden child in 2003 then I went back and found soul on ice rassantion I like interview with a vampire more than nature of the threat but there both mega classic songs he was something special he was considered the best LA born lyricist for along time back then it was only kurupt and crooked I and kurupt was originally from philly

And his sonโ€™s group coast contra is super fire I support anything that they put out

Ras Kass is real hip hop...Soul On Ice was the West Coast ILLmatic and its hard to find something out today that measures up
Facts I think if it wouldโ€™ve done better if it dropped in 1995 instead of 1996 it was such a stacked year as far releases went there are like 5 of the best rap albums ever that drop in 1996 so any new artists faced heavy competition

Nature of The Threat by itself might reserve him a spot in rapโ€™s Hall of Fame, song changed my life for real. Interview With a Vampire ainโ€™t too far behind it either
