Always felt it was a bit overrated. The mixes vary from one song to another, felt like a mixtape in hindsight. Loved that he used different producers like Dilla, DOOM and Pete Rock. I'd give it a 4/5
I prefer BPW. Ghost was still in the Superb influenced era with a young Trife in the fold as well. Rhyming wild and shyt.
I definitely prefer Ghost on BPW over Ghost on Fishscale, but the beats on BPW were trash. I can't think of a single great beat on that album except for maybe "The Forest".
Maxine
The Jux
Flowers
Theodore
The Hilton
i even like the r&b stuff
Totally forgot about that joint. Not great, but OK sure. That and Forest. The rest.... nah.
Fishscale has RAGU, which is better than any track on BPW not called The Forest. Then you got The Champ, Underwater and Beauty Jackson.
Although, your points make me realize that Fishscale isn't a lot better than BPW. Either way, I never bump either album.
You forgot whip me with a strap.
