Ricky's deal has the least amount of risk, the highest reward, and by the end will be the biggest steal.

Of course everyone here believes the exact opposite, but nobody could explain why, so that's the coli for ya
why does rubios contract have the highest reward?

In order from best value contract to worst value:

1. Nikola Vucevic - it's kinda sad that this is the best deal out of the choices, but he's still got a good amount of upside, is a hell of a rebounder and good scorer in the post

2. Klay Thompson - contrary to popular belief, dude is not a top 5 SG, just an extremely good role player who does his job (shooting 3s and playing good defense) better than anyone in the league. He likely would have commanded a max level contract on the open market though so good decision by Warriors to lock him up

3. Anderson Varejao - short term deal for a guy who was averaging 14/14 just 2 seasons ago before his season ended because of a blood clot in his lung, a bit overpaid but smart move by the Cavs considering they're looking to win a ring and need as much talent as possible, especially defensively

4. Alec Burks - this guy clearly has the most upside out of anyone and averaged 14 ppg in 28 mins last season off the bench. Considering Gordon Hayward got a max deal, this could be a huge bargain for Utah going forward. If Burks can learn to drive and kick, he could be a star

5. Kenneth Faried - Definitely an overpay but at least he's proven himself and has improved his jumpshot a bit. Good energy player who can score some and great rebounder, although terrible defender

6. Eric Bledsoe - I will never understand how Bledsoe's agent was able to command a max level contract for a guy who played half a season and averaged 18 ppg. I hate this move for the Suns and I really think they'll regret this 2 or 3 years down the road. He just simply is not a star or anything more than a plus starter

7. Ricky Rubio - Hey, let's take this guy whose strong suit is passing yet has never averaged more than 8.5 apg, gambles on steals and gets burned regularly, and can't shoot above 38% from the field, and pay him a 4 year max! Huge overpay and there is no redeemable quality here to justify this deal

My Pops Forever RIP
why does rubios contract have the highest reward?
Because the rest of the team is dependent on him for their own performance. There isn't anyone else on that team that offers what he provides. If they do well, he did his job. It's 100x tougher without him. Of the players mentioned, he's the only one being built around

On top of that... all these deals are looking like chicken feed after the TV money funnels in.
