When rating things on a scale of 1-10, people as a whole subconsciously rate them on a scale of 1-5. 10 numbers is too many variables
meaning although you will see ratings of 1's and 0's, you will rarely see ratings of 2,3, or 4.
a 7.92 is closer to a 4, with 7 and under being actually 3 and below (average to subpar)

Lowkey I gave black clover a 7 but now I’m up to ep 100 and it’s a 8 minimum
The scores get funnier when you break it down to percentile:10th Percentile: 6.35-Canon Busters and below
25th Percentile: 7.30-Animes between Cannon Busters & Gangsta
50th Percentile: 8.32-Animes between Gangsta and Mobile Gundam wing.
75th Percentile: 8.75-Animes between Gundam wing and Afro Samurai.
90th Percentile: 9.28-Animes above Samurai Champloo
But when this is done I’m going to throw all the numbers into graphs and charts

I feel you. Hell, I personally think DBZ is overrated as fukk and don't get the fascination a lot of dudes have with it, but I would never call it average. Even with all its flaws and filler, its impact and dope moments keep it from being average. I feel like its a 7 personally.
I look at shyt like SAO and Black Clover the same way.
