I feel bad for Fairy Tail. I actually liked the series and I thought it had a chance to be in one of the newer big three type Shōnen animes. The problem is Fairy Tail started out hot but it got caught up against HXH. But the time it hit its groove M.H.A was coming out.
Fairy tail is just a case of bad timing but I still believe it’s a good quality anime.

/10.Biting One Piece heavily is one thing. It’s lazy as shyt and people are of course gonna notice it, since One Piece is on track to being the GOAT Anime.
But possibly rewriting how strong a character is (Ezra) after she loses a hypothetical battle to one of the strongest characters of the series you bit off of (Roronoa Tha Gawd) is just some bytch shyt.

7/10. I remember liking this but I fell off after the time skip. Months back, I decided to give it another chance and started reading the manga. The anime does not do it justice at all. It’s really good and it’s becoming one of my favorites.

friendship powerups are not even a issue4/10 for the BS friendship power ups
as the Big 3 use it. OP has a entire power system in Haki which gives you a boost during emotional trauma and you have to protect your friends.
same with Bleach with spiritual pressure.
Naruto had it with Naruto and the Kyubi.
problem with FT is it took it to the extreme to the point that it was ridiculous
Fairy Tail is dope (except the final arc) 8 outta 10
For all the hate it gets the characters are amazing and it being so vanilla made it stand out in the era where everyone was trying to be edgy or have some stupid twist just for the sake of it plot be damned
Its fun as hell to watch and actually has replay value
I liked it better than Black Clover (I don't like ANY of the characters in this show)
, Bleach (fell off so hard)
and One Piece (pointless ass waste of time)

Never seen it, but heard about it. I know its mad popular, but it just never looked dope enough to give it a chance.
one piece existing makes fairy tail look so shytty by comparison. doesn't help that it copies so much from it without a shred of the execution.
one thing fairy does different from one piece is be a shameless ecchi of both sexes with tons of ship teasing. a lot of girls are into fairy tail because of that. more or less the reason it's so popular despite having a mediocre narrative and character building.
the manga is passable because you can just skim the boring parts and only focus on the fights and eye catches if you so choose. but 273 episodes? 90+ hours into an adaptation that does nothing that much better than the source material? no. giving this a 4-5
