I be wanting to talk about it, but I don't want a bunch of
compared to goblin rape and loli groping, Banana Fish is tame.
The worst I've seen in the series is the prison ep. Honestly there's only 4 gay people in the series. One of them is a piece of shyt pedophile but nothing is shown. One dresses like a girl sometimes (once or twice) but never does anything beyond this. Nobody does the stereotypical played up constant "flaming promiscuous" shyt that's so prevalent in media.
Ash's past is implied heavily, but it's never explicit. His past and history of child abuse/exploitation is what makes the character who he is. A lot of watchers don't realize that they can see the same traits in some guys they may know, but they will never know why.
Or even, hell. Look at Michael from The Wire.
