Rate this anime day 73: Sword Art Online

The animation really vivid and visually nice to watch. The plot was strong first season. After that the character development stalled and Alicization seasons just seemed to drag on no ruff ryder.

Good isekai overall tho.

First season when they was all trapped inside was amazing.... but when they woke up everything went downhill from there storywise...

I REALLY liked Gun Gale Online tho... It needs a season 2 tho...

Give it a 6. First half was pretty good but second half was average at best. I tried watching the other series or spinoff or whatever it is and couldn't get past the first few episodes. Really didn't enjoy this series as much as I thought I would especially since I really enjoyed .hack and overlord.

By arc,

SAO is a 8.5-9. The worst thing about it is that it ends too quickly, IMO.
ALO is a 5. 6 on a good day. It's still a chore to get through that arc.
Rosario is a 7.5-8. Good arc, but super sad ending.
GGO is a 7.5-8. Good arc, but not SAO level.
Cardinal Ordinance is a 7.5-8. That might change to a 8-8.5. I have to rewatch.
Alicialization is a 9 on its way to be a 10. The best arc they've put out so far.

GGO spin off is a solid 8. Enjoyable captures that GGO feeling and no Kirito.

Accel World is another solid 8. About a 20 year time skip from SAO.

The War of the Underworld Arc been fukking crazy dope. Plus the 1st season is classic. Only weak arc was the Elf shyt and even that had some dope moments. Gun Gale was dope too. Enjoyed the movie as well.
