Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (8.61)

For day 50 of our series the coli gave the futuristic dystopian squad a complex/ complicated score of 8.61 putting it amongst the top tier of animes.

On to day 51

Rules:

This is my GOAT anime movie. This movie is what got me into anime. For me its the anime Blade Runner. A movie that pushes the scifi genre to another level. From the visuals to the characters to the soundtrack to the story GitS gets everything right. This movie is a must watch for not just anyone who is an anime fan but anyone who is a scifi fan. This movie gets a 10/10 for me.

The movie is great. I didn't appreciate when I was younger but after watching the series and then rewatching the movie when I was older and able to comprehend the writing a lot more than my 11 y.o. self, I really enjoy it.

Big GitS fan in general though the Arise episodes were kind of trash

10/10. A true classic. I think this movie revitalized the Cyberpunk genre in all media, not just anime. Great animation and a thought provoking concept on what it really means to be human.

There's other movies from that era that I enjoyed more, but its still pretty good. Just not Ninja Scroll level good.
