2 things i have to disagree with.

1. Our Skyline had changed immensely over the past 15 years. Harbor East and Harbor Point didnt even exist at that time, now those are two whole neighborhoods extending Downtown Baltimore. We've also built a new 2nd tallest building in Baltimore with 414 Light Street.

2. We definitely don't copy NYC at all. Memphis rap was big in Baltimore back in the early 00s, but that has faded as well. As far as dressing/style, we dont copy anybody.

3. As far as things to do, I've been to maybe 1 city (NYC) that wraps circles around Baltimore. There are neighborhoods that nikkaz Haven't even discovered yet with events/festivals/ nightlife happens.

You're the homie tho, so i gotta let you cook.

edit: I gotta stop you there, we not a less pretentious version of DC, we are NO version of DC at all. We are the one and only version of Baltimore.

Alright, go ahead and cook.

Gotta keep my assessment fair and honest breh, just like the other cities :manny:

Wait, they cut shawty down the “shaww” like we do? I swear, how we so similar and so damn different at the same time. :pachaha: “I ain’t gon hold you” ain’t no new shyt I been sayin that for awhile now.
DC is like cousins for real. We have so many similarities it’s crazy but so different at the same time. But you have to be from here to really know the differences. I’ve met people from other parts of the country who legit can’t tell

I will say that we did used to be on NY’s nuts at one point. Back in the crack era. We fukked with NY rap real heavy too. I remember my sister and her friends going wild if they saw some dude driving with NY tags. NY has a presence here since so many come down here for school and never leave. Plus a lot of them have family down here that never left during the Great Migration

On the DC side we grew up not fukkin with NYC like that. Rap was cool but everyone wanted to be in a Go Go band and rock Madness instead. Even to this day people in my generation and older are kinda meh about NYC. That’s why nikkaz said yung instead of yo I guess. Guess that bad history made it easier for New Yorkers to settle in Baltimore.

I’ve been to some hoods in my time but I’ve never seen a hood worse than b more

last time i was there like a year ago they actually had street signs saying”this is a no gun zone” Witt the red circle and line going across the gun

No real redeeming qualities here I’ll give it a 4 cause it does have its own culture and identity

Bruh, the whole Maryland and Virginia might as well be blended in with the Carolinas. All I ever heard in LA was that I sound country and where the fukk is Maryland/DC?

There do be moments when Bmore and DMV nikkaz sound real similar. Like our accents meet at certain points. We definitely both call the state Murrlin.

Not even in my top ten US cities to visit list. After watching the wire, might not even be in my top 15. I hear they got good crab there but seems like not much else. Maybe reading thru this thread will educate me.

I ain’t said bluffin ever really. It was either a nikka fakin/purpin or swelling/welling.

I can definitely see that. Real shyt, the people are actually great I never had a problem in Baltimore. I love that they be having horse and carriages full of fruits and vegetables ridin through the hood.

For me that’s always been the heartbreaking thing about the city. The poverty and drugs are so in your face but the people still good people regardless of that. I wish somehow the industrial life of the city could be brought back. Maybe do wind mill and solar panel shyt and rebuild that strong middle class that got killed off when the factory jobs left.

Those are the Arabbers you’re talking about. That’s one of the unique things about Baltimore that should be celebrated more often and honestly, I’m surprised other cities haven’t held on to them. That would solve many immediate issues in areas that are known to be food deserts.

And I’m surprised Baltimore never considered getting into the windmill and solar panel manufacturing business. They can even be a major manufacturer for drones too with its proximity to DC, the Defense industry, and Amazon’s presence in the region with its use and demand of commercial drones.

It’s gotten a resurgence amongst the youth lately. I still prefer wellin and fakin like tbh. Hell I be hearing young nikkas down here saying goofy more often than bamma...Like why is this new generation on Chicago’s nuts so bad :gucci:
