Alone I'd give it a 8 out of 10, watch ya ass though, that's cartel country and is generally a rough area without them.
Stay in the tourist/Red light district and you should be fine.

I heard that the area is notorious for Cartel activity and various other crimes. I personally have no interest in visiting it since I’m not into Prostitutes.

@JadeB when the last time you been to Tijuana and if you been recently how has it changed since covid?
A week ago and things didn't really change since covid. It's still crowded and busy as ever. The city depends on people getting shyt down and crossing the border to the US so it only makes sense that things won't shut down or change after covid.

That was my go to in my 1st few yrs out here. So many memories from Club XS to Revolution street. Met my wife there and everything. One night my boy just disappeared and we didn't hear from him for months. Cause he got caught trying to smuggle pounds of weed for someone down there and got caught. Then he showed up on base after being discharged and told us what happened. It was a wild ass story. But yeah I've got nothing bad to say about TJ. Don't even talk about the street food after the club and how it's made for a "night in Mexico hangover"

Nice city. Just don't act a fool and stay out of shady areas and you good. A lot and I men a lot of US folks go there from San Diego for medical tourism.

Tijuana is more known for medical tourism than it is for weed, clubs, strip clubs and hoes (which it was in the past like 20 and 30 plus years ago).

The amount of women from America and from overseas who go there for plastic surgery is unreal. If you got family members who have health issues (or you yourself) its a great place to go to get treatment and even prescription drugs. I have met elders in Tijuana who go there once to twice a year to get all there medication because it would cost them 5 to 20 times more in the States or in Canada. Met a old couple in which the husband said he was able to survive and recover from cancer by going to Tijuana twice a year to buy all his cancer medicine for like 2K a year compared to 15K plus he would have had to pay in America (he didn't have insurance).

Anyway its amazing how cheap prescription drugs are in Tijuana. It reminded me how cheap prescription drugs were in India when I use to work over there before Covid.
