Gave it a 6.
Been twice, and drove through many times, and can’t really say much about it. Wasn’t very memorable, but I do rock with folks from the city.

Only major city in the state of VA that I felt still was southern.

That doesn’t surprise me at all. Richmond was the capital of the confederacy during the Civil War so racism was most definitely passed down from each generation there.

It’s a city that really should be a town. Downtown area can be seen in a quick 20 min drive. The rest of the “city” ain’t nothing like a real city. No good transportation system. No real clubs (va doesn’t allow club only venues). Strip joints have pasties. Only a few bars.


What is amazing is the food, art and live music scene. Also a lot of history here. But if you’re down to find the local spots or the hidden gems, it’ll be a waste of time to come...


Location wise, being 90 mins from DC, Va beach, and NC is good. But still. I’d rather be in DC

Oh let me add in the women are a wide range and you can eat. You got the regular hood rats. You got white college girl in VCU downtown. 20 miles down the road you have black college girls at VSU. You got professional women who work downtown.


and they all congregate in Richmond on Thursday-Sunday nights.
