Where would you rank Tuskegee and Selma?
If I ever had to move to Alabama, id choose a small majority black city like those

Don't do it. That's my ranking for those two places. Specifically Tuskegee. Though Auburn is right there and that's not a bad area.

I grew up about 30-35 minutes away from it and briefly lived there so I'm pretty familiar.

5, 6 at best. Thought way more of it as a kid but I grew up in a dusty town.

Has some good parts but the city itself is very much split. There's a "white" side and a "black" side, the latter of which is kind of deserted. The Riverfront/Riverwalk area is kind of neat. Historical significance boosts it a bit.
