8.

I'm surprised at how cool the skyline looks, and the pictures make it look like a rather appealing city visually.

I'd imagine it's basically Miami but without the cost of living and general big city bullshyt.

FLL is like Miami for people with families (or rich people over 40)
That was my first city I use to visit with chicks, went there like 5 summers in a row at one point so it's alot of nostalgia with me that makes me rate it over Miami
Objectively it's probably not better unless you really value quietness, family friendly stuff or you old money rich on that yacht tip
It's a cool science museum for kids, a lot of cool restaurants and shops, and the mall. The water front plaza use to be popping when I first went in 2008 but now it seems dead unless there is a special event.
The beaches are nice and you can still be around black people down there at the 2nd floors bars near Hooters
It seem more "authentic" than Ocean Drive with people who seem local with the candy paint donks and all that

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
I'm in Lauderhill, in the hood actually and it's not really that bad. Outside of sistrunk and a few parts of lauderdale it's not really crime filed like Miami. People get capped in lauderhill on the regular but that's more east of 441 and sunrise, oakland and so forth. Once you hit commercial it's more safe and relaxed.

I will say the good thing about it though, it's pretty segregated in some parts of Fort Lauderdale, lotta chicks and most will date where they live, you can catch a few bad ones and knock them up and you pretty good. Money is important but the gentreficated areas are more better for some folks who money ain't really there yet.

Las Olas is mostly young people, I'm too old to be out there, the strip clubs aren't that great, maybe port hole on sample is probably the best one, vegas caberet is ass checks. Not many clubs like Miami but more basic and less bougie as compared to Miramar/Pines...

I give it a 7, the jobs aren't that good though, lots of low wages gigs and white liberalism who pay terrible...

I want to spend more time in West Palm but too far of a drive to me... it's not bad though, definitely more relaxed than Miami life and a little cheaper.

Lotta west indies here, mostly simple people trying to survive, I can't really hate at all...

Wish the money at these jobs were better but maybe one day.

My friend moved to Oakland park. Drove around the area last week. Is that the hood also cause the area looked rather nasty.

living in miami most of my life, but i've been in FTL on a consistent basis for a while, going back and forth for work and other extracurricular activities

first off, fukk FTL police and BSO by extension; there's a residual fondness for the Klan and you'll see the Confederate flag on occasion close to the downtown area. They're also the ones dedicated to constantly arresting mena and women of the cloth for feeding the homeless.

now the nice things:

a breh won the lottery some years back and is dedicating his earnings to improving Sistrunk for black folk, and it's slowly getting there.

if y'all familiar with what Miami has with Wynwood, FTL has FATVillage as the equivalent. Art galleries, breweries, art walk on the last Saturday of every month.

Besides that, with the Brightline train station being blocks away from Las Olas, that's helping boost its profile.

Now the thing about South Florida in general is that the city defines the county, which is why in the Miami thread, many mentions were about things and places outside of the city proper. With FTL it's the same; basically north of 595 to Sunrise, all east of 95, that's roughly considered FTL.

Main library is a solid resource, even though there's a tent city in the courtyard.

The women are easier to approach for those whose game isn't solid, but in reference to the scenes I'm in, Laser Wolf is majority hipster whites and Rhythm & Vine is where there'll be a more multicultural assortment and vibe.

Overall though?

it's aight; no L, unless you're dedicated to HAWGing and not PAWGing, in which case, hold that.

Porthole is hood as fukk. Vegas is terrible you are right. But in broward. Diamond dolls and booby trap is poppin!! Even cheetah on Atlantic is better than porthole lol I prefer Broward to Dade simply because it's less crowded. also tootsies is literally next to the border of Dade and broward. 954 > 305

Been a while since I been to Tootsies, and I even got free entry passes too. Used to go there in my younger days often. Gotta take a trip out there sometime. Don't think I been to Porthole or Vegas. Went to Diamond Dolls once and it was good. Used to go to Cheetahs down in Hallandale back in the day and it was decent.

I'm gonna need more info on this and to check it out. Cuz I been to wynwood plenty of times and its got its benefits but driving all the way down there is a pain in the ass. Gotta try something new. Used to go to riverfront a lot before but not much lately. Gonna have to take a trip to this FATVillage spot.

And :salute:for trying to improve the community with your earnings.

Rhythm & Vine is garbage now. They changed the loudness and the type of music played to get rid of brehs and brehettes.
