Aesthetically 10. The skyline and shoreline look beautiful

I remember reading just 50 years ago, Dubai was all sand and desert
Yeah it's like the fastest growing city the past twenty years or something like that. Looks nice and I wanna go to that Ferrari World park cuz they got that crazy ass ride that goes really fast and to check out that tall observation tower and the other cool looking building. Seems like a highly expensive place to visit. Hopefully one day.

On pics/skyline alone, it's a 20.

But since I am not someone trying to satiate my inner thot or an international businessman, Dubai has no appeal to me outside of saying I went. And everybody and they momma go there now so :hubie:

I've stayed in Dubai for 4 days in en-route to East Africa during the summer (July). When I tell you this city is absolutely unbearable because of the heat during the summer believe me, it is scorching hot. Most people are stuck indoors and go to Dubai Mall (which is really fancy mall) to past their days. Locals all come in the evening and the City becomes alive. It is not a walk friendly city, and I personally find the city lacks culture and identity. The nightlife is too superficial and fake people all over the place. I rate this city a 4.

Easily the worst place I've been.

Extremely superficial. Zero culture. Modern day slavery in plain sight with with South Asians being bussed into the city for cheap labors. You can observe them being shipped back to their camps in the desert come the evening. You can google all the human rights violations. It's horrible.

All customer facing service positions are Filipinos. They are so overly nice (Yes Sir/ma'am at the end of every sentence) it's annoying. They got the brown dudes in the back doing all the dirty work. Cism within cism.

These fat Emirates pulling up to the mall, wives strolling behind them, then the Ethiopian maid all the way in the back with their kids. These pieces of shyt go to eat IN the restaurant and make the maid sit and wait outside and don't even have the courtesy to send her the menu or a plate of food.

I'm not the kind of person that can over look shyt like that. It was really hard to stomach.

Spent my time over tipping all service staff(they were fantastic to my family and I). This one door man at our hotel ran ONTO the street to flag a taxi down. Cleaning staff would do origami with the towels, so we'd come back in with a towel swan on the bed. Little one loved that shyt. Left them a big tip and a written hand note to the manager to let them know how pleased we were.

Aside from that, it's fukk Dubai. 1/10 only because the food was fire.

I agree, the food is amazing there. The Lebanese, Egyptian, and Syrian foods are all spectacular, outside from that...The City is trash. If you want authentic Arabian Culture, go to Oman.
