I give the city skyline a 8/10

it’s got a lot of boxing history and it’s metro area is around a million. Schenectady and other sizable places are around

the thruway really fukks up tourism imo because it’s hard to get off and really see the city.

I visited Albany once on a business conference and it caught me off guard how nice a city it is. The views are beautiful, the people are liberal but more like hippies than fake pc liberals. A good amount of Black people there. Had some of the best coal oven pizza there. Decent scene, I think you would get more mileage if you are 30+.

Used to get lined up at Bricks barber shop on Central, shout out to the whole Uptown Alb area. Got some solid cats I met from Alb...

Only thing I didn't like is it really is kinda small. Mall was cool, not great shopping otherwise. Fine Latinas in that muhfukka, lord. The sisters in Alb almost all of em felt like hood rats. I didn't like how Alb nikkas kinda deferred/kissed ass to City nikkas, some of my best friends from The Boroughs I met in Alb but it was different from Buff or Roc, Alb (and Cuse) cats kinda step aside for Borough nikkas, whereas in WNY cats let City cats know they on a different type of time out there...

But I did know a couple solid Alb cats, one of my homeboys there was a club promoter and his mom owned a seafood joint in Fayetteville NC, and we were able to plug each other in with some people from both cities....matter fact dude I'm talking about was originally from Harlem now that I remember but had been in Alb for a minute grinding...

Schenectady trash as fukk, got arrested there on an Albany charge. Absolutely nothing there, Kings had a strong presence in that city. Troy was considered more or less the burbs and had the filthy white slores...

Albany jail was run by City cats. And it wasn't a really live jail, but the jail officers were probably the most disrespectful and militarized jail staff I've seen anywhere (Harrisburg PA jail was alot like that too but I was only there on transit)...

COs were disrespectful but it was also one of the more laid back jails. We had yard call pretty much all day, you could work out in the day room with few to no restraints, there was no policing the noise like that, all that probably explains why it wasn't a violent place to bid. Cats could do their stay mostly in peace. Gangbanging politics controlled by Borough cats....

Some good food out in Albany, and it has a lot to do considering its size, lotta festivals and concerts and shyt thru there...

For its weight class it's an 8, one of the best cities of its size around. Passionate and involved black culture, solid black middle class. Wouldn't live there again and dont really have to visit again either (slid thru on my Vermont stay two years ago), but it's good for what it is...

@Juggalo Fred ain't you from Albany? I know one of the white boys who post in The Coliseum from Alb...
