Act I.
She looks like she listened to Fefe Dobson in high school. Like she went to an all white school and, while making friends easily, never felt as if she truly connected with anyone.
You can see it in her eyes. She related mostly with the goths. Sat at the lunch table with them. Went to their parties. Dated within their circles. The thing about the goth crew is that they are very welcoming...to all who feel out of place in this world.
She spent her weekends in high school working at the local mall, at a popular clothing store that catered to teens and young adults. Selling tee shirts and intentionally torn jeans. Loud, peppy music playing gleefully. Perfume and cologne piped profusely throughout the ventilation system.
During her lunch breaks she would head over to the food court. Sunlight streaming in from above through a large diamond shaped collection of windows. A mixture..no, a solution of sounds: conversations, chairs shuffling, cash registers ringing. Chicken and shrimp teriyaki was her favorite as it is to this day. It was here, amongst the aromas that she found her calling as an actress.
