10, outside of total my favorite girl R&B group when I was a little. I’m so into, anything, downtown, weak, right here. Love them.

Well I'm going with a 8 fam...I dont see how you can give them 10, they sound great, coco can blow for sure but the their career never went the distance.

When you give out 10 you should have a reign of at least 10 years Of solid to great output, or of you outright just dominated your decade like TLC, or the supremes, or earth, wind, an fire.

I would say that swv was great to good towards the end and after 97 they faded....
The competition was steep in the 90's
You had total, en vogue, swv, destiny's child, TLC, 702...exit would rank them behind destiny's child and TLC, en vogue.

So I'll give"em a 8.

:russ: did you understand downtown as a kid? That shyt became legit slang after that dropped wasn't until I got a little older that i understood :shaq:
Nope. I thought that were actually going shopping downtown . I was wondering why my brother would tell me to stop singing it and turn off the song when I was around.

My dad loved them when they first started
:whew:
When he saw they all got :flabbynsick: he was like
:scusthov:
That said I gotta elaborate:

Me however, I grew up listening to their music... knowing their songs about oral sex & what not.

A whole ass intro that is a legit ass song

They flipped into a remix for the Tupac, Wood Harris, and Marlon Wayans basketball classic (although rather underrated for some reason) Above the Rim that brought in major horns and gave the ballad that party anthem jam feel.

And my other favorite on their debut, the female simp anthem ( IMO)

Like I said their debut weights heavy cause it wasn’t played damn near daily when I was a kid. Their follow ups were good. Their comeback project with the show with Salt N Pepa knocks them down a few notches.

Going back and forth between a 8 and 9. Gonna give them a 9 based off personal taste. I love their music. their first 2 albums are 4 star albums. Can do fast or slow jams. Technically they are just a step below en vogue when it comes to the vocals though.
