Good while they lasted but not memorable. 6/10
Case "Happily ever after" >>>>>>>Let's get Married still gets play to this day. Just that timeless track alone keeps them relevant.
Real talk. That song came out when I was in middle school and I use to sing my heart out to that track not realizing when I hit my 20's, that same song would minister to my broken heart5 and that's only because that goodbye track got me in my feelings once![]()
Probably the male version of Xscape. I loved them though because they always stayed true to R&B. Never tried to venture out. They are a weird group to place because they have timeless classics like Lets Get Married, Promise, Gotta Be, Walked Outta Heaven but the overall group never really took off. They had one really good album, maybe 2. Jagged Little Thrill was peak J.E to me. The entire album was great.
No dancing, no stage presence, good singing but not blow you away, another Jermaine Dupri success just like Xscape. Ironically enough, Xscape were the ones who discovered J.E and brought them to the attention of Dupri.
I'd give them a 7 off the strength of Lets Get Married and the remix.
Wee ain't getting no younger so we minus well doooowwwiitit
Any other era of music them nikkas would have been thrown out after auditioning
They carved their lane and gave us a wedding classic. "Meet me at the altar in your white dress"
