I’m only a few years younger than them so when they dropped everybody had “stories” about how they knew one of the members
:mjlol:

Of course they were mostly :duck:

True story tho my ex wife is friends with the chick April Showrs is about. Her name is April. When I didn’t believe her she showed me the letter she kept from Woody who wrote the lyrics of the song for her a couple years before they were even signed

All these dudes could sing and met working at the Fudgery where workers were known to perform. They got some classic songs under their belt but no longevity. I’d give them a 7 but bumped it up to 8 for the hometown connection. Dudes are some local legends

Great stand in for when Jodeci stopped recording...but the run was too short...Sisqo's album was good...then he released that horrible 2nd album with a video where he was lifted up by all them men and it was a wrap from then on...that first single from the 3rd Dru Hill album was alright tho with the new guy
The new dude Ruscola was a local singer that had a local classic. But he wasn’t a good fit imo. Btw this is the local classic I’m talking about

10!

Sisqo is one of the most under-appreciated singers of all-time. Cacs only know him from the Thong Song, and a lot of our people shyt on him for being flamboyant.

Sisqo and Jazz were one of the best vocal one-two punches of all-time. Woody had classic verses when he had the chance to sing lead. Nokio held down the production extremely well.

Dru Hill is my personal favorite group. Their first two albums are undeniable classics.

I’m not tolerating no slander in this thread

Their first album is one of my personal favorite R&B albums ever. Play it all the time to this day, no skips. :brutuswow:

Based on their short run, I'll knock em down a spot to 9.

I woulda gave them a 7 but I had to add an extra point for being able to do the tell me dance and still be able to sing in tune.

It sucks they went through so many iterations of the group. The OG group is the best for me, partly for nostalgia. Their harmony together was pretty good. I give them a 9 cause they had some versatility and some classics. Sisqo's voice is hard to replicate.
