9/10 blending and harmonies I felt were really creative and bridged the gap amongst pop, Hip Hop, R&B and the tonal shift of music.....

Though to be honest, their production and writing teams were monsters and made their voices come alive....

No trash albums or singles, still replayable 20+ years later....

this.. underrated vocal group. I remember when all the girls at church would try to mimic and reinvent their gospel medleys..

them fine ass women can Sangg

I'll be real, when they were on, they were on but they came along at the very tail end of female r&,b group era, they missed the prime TLC, SWV...there main comp was blaque..:mjlol:

Michelle cant hold her own, Kelly did her best but comes up short, there solely dependant apon beyonce

Second they cant really dance or play instruments.

Third, there music didnt age well at all, besides bootylicious, emotions, Bill's Bill's, there catoglouge is average

At least with the Jackson 5 they all could play instruments, some could dance real good, they weren't totally dependent apon micheal
Typically in just about any group, the success will be dependent on 1 person so you can't hold that against DC. Nsync depended on Justin. SWV depended on CoKo. J5 depended on MJ. Surpremes on Diana. Miracles on Smokey, etc.

The J5 most definitely needed MJ. They were nothing without him. And only Tito and Randy were superb musicians. Jermaine was okay. So they all definitely didn't have musical ability.

DCs music still resonates today. Say My Name, No No No, Emotions, Cater 2 U, Bills Bills, Survivor.... these are classics

Breh Jermaine Jackson solo album went platinum.

And yes you can hold it against the group if your comparing then to the best of all time

Example:new edition Bobby, Ricky, Ralph, gill all could hold there own and did.

Earth wind and fire and 2 great lead singers.

The isley brothers all played instruments, made there own beats, Ron was just the lead singer.

Were talking about the best of the best so you have to nit pick to a degree

I didn't vote but I would given them a 7. Musically they were just ok. The original lineup was the best vocally as a group. We all knew Beyonce was a star in the making but they are one of the most successful female groups of all time and their music bridged hip-hop, pop and R&B in a way like really no other. I mean feel how you want about Beyonce but Destiny's Child were groundbreaking for time period and that is saying something considering how groundbreaking that decade was.
