It equates. You just don't give a fukk because it doesn't affect you. Wanting a particular race/color, at it's core level, is social conditioning, is it not? Just like wanting a taller man because society warps your mind to equate it with masculinity is social conditioning. For the last 100 years, the media has bombarded your mind with images to think the taller the man is, the more attractive he is. Which propels this desire for 6"4 men when for most of history women were evidently fine with guys who were 2-4 inches taller than them; since short men are still walking around today. What changed? The media. So, how is that not social conditioning? In the same way, people were brainwashed to equate lighter skin with status, success and importance. Also, as evidence against any racial conditioning, scientists have published studies that suggest that darker skin is inherently seen as masculine whereas lighter skin is viewed to be more feminine. Just by lightening the face or darkening the face, a face appears more feminine/masculine. Again, regardless of race. So
@marcuz is absolutely correct in his assessment. Cry about colorism only to practice heightism yourself. You don't even see men complaining about colorism and we just as black as yall. And there was time periods where lighter skin men were in and men still didn't/don't complain like black women about it. You just want a pity party. It's hypocritical. We all have our preferences. You don't get to say someone else's is wrong when you got a list of shallow ass requirements yourself.
