Now that it's over and done with, how would you rate Trump's presidency overall? Any positives or negatives stick out at all? And does his presidency change your view of other presidents? For me it's a 1 easily and I can't really think of any positives offhand. Guess it's cool that he didn't happen to start a war. Thinking of making threads like this for Obama, Dubya, and Clinton to see what the ratings look like. We'll need something to talk about now besides whatever crazy thing Trump did in the last hour.
trump set the bar so low that biden will be revered just for fulfilling basic presidential duties biden really had to make a reassuring statement today that scientists will be allowed to make decisions based on science
3 SCOTUS Incompetent Federal judges Tax cuts for rich Deregulation and sold federal land Make Proud boys and Qanon Tea Party level 7/10 for Conservatives
A solid 2/10 possibly 3/10 depending on how things play out going forward. The good: His part in N/S Korea relations Confronting China's trade practices head on Moving the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem Signing the law ending the gag orders on Pharmacists that prevented them from sharing money-saving information... as well as an executive order that forces all health care providers to disclose the cost of their services so that people can comparison shop Withdrawing from TTP Withdrawing from the Paris Accord Signing into law permanent funding for HBCUs Freed over a dozen U.S. hostages Streamlined the FDA approval process a bit How he engaged the citizenry and made our nations politics the national conversation it should be.(imo) The bad: Everything else... he simply isnt(and was never) fit to lead. The jury is still out on opportunity zones.
1. The only positive things he did were foreign policy related ie forcing the issue on China and pressuring the EU to spend more money on defense. He just did them in shytty fashion.
1/10 if you're a normal human being 9/10 if you're GOP. 3 Supreme Court judges, tax cuts, lower court judges
Uh, well, the dow and nasdaq were double of what they were on January 20th, 2017, so points for that I guess. Of course, that's balanced against high unemployment, over 300,000 dead due to the mishandling of the pandemic, and tax cuts for the rich. Oh, and then there's the racism, mysogyny, utter disregard for rule of law, indecency, boldfaced lying, indifference to suffering, incompetence, poor leadership, poor hairstyle, poor health...and being impeached. Twice. Basically, I gave the guy a 3 because I was trying to be generous. Also I can't change my vote. I actually vote 1. Definitely the worst president of our lifetimes.
